Cascadia Medical Equipment, Inc. buys barnes pharmaceutical company

Cascades medical equipment manufacturer Barnes Medical Equipment Inc. has purchased Cascadian Medical Group Ltd.

for $1.7 billion in cash and stock, according to a listing on the Nasdaq-listed stock exchange.

Barnes has grown rapidly over the past decade, and now operates in more than 20 countries.

The company, based in Atlanta, Ga., manufactures medical devices and surgical equipment.

Barness Medical Group Inc., based in Vancouver, Canada, also manufactures surgical and medical devices.

Barnees is one of the largest medical equipment companies in the world, with a revenue of $8.4 billion last year.

The largest company by revenue is Johnson & Johnson, with $5.6 billion in sales.
